Balayage vs highlights
Balayage offers a softer, more natural result compared to traditional foil highlights. Regrowth lines are less noticeable, and the lines are more delicate, creating a golden, sun-kissed look that recreates a few weeks spent somewhere warm.

Balayage vs ombre
Ombre hair showcases a distinct contrast between the roots and ends, with the added color starting midway down the strands. Both ombre and sombre are two-toned styles featuring darker roots that gradually fade to lighter hues at the ends. Ombre typically exhibits a more noticeable difference in tone, while sombre offers a more natural, seamless blend. However, both styles are more dramatic than balayage.
What is the difference between partial, full and reverse balayage?
A full balayage involves lightening all of your hair using this technique. On the other hand, a partial balayage is applied only to the top and outer layers of your hair, leaving the layers underneath in their natural color. Reverse balayage, conversely, entails the use of dark colours by your stylist to add lowlights near your roots and throughout your strands, creating depth and texture in your colour.
How long does balayage last?
The great thing about balayage is its low maintenance. Typically lasting between 3-4 months, its longevity depends on factors such as your root color, hair growth rate, and hair care routine between salon visits. With balayage, visible roots aren't an issue as it seamlessly blends into your natural hair color, providing a natural look. However, like any other color, your balayage will grow out at the same rate as your hair.
